3. Estimates and Pricing
All estimates provided by Interior Spruce are free and non-binding until a formal service agreement is signed by both parties. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Final pricing may be adjusted based on:
- Changes in material costs at the time of purchase
- Additional work requested by the client
- Unforeseen structural issues discovered during the project
- Changes to project scope agreed upon in writing
Any price changes will be communicated and approved by the client before work proceeds.
4. Project Timeline
Project timelines are estimates based on typical conditions and may be affected by:
- Weather conditions (especially for exterior work)
- Material availability and delivery schedules
- Permit approval timelines
- Client-requested changes or delays
- Unforeseen structural or code compliance issues
Interior Spruce will communicate any timeline adjustments promptly and work diligently to minimize delays.
5. Payment Terms
Payment schedules are outlined in the individual service agreement. Generally:
- A deposit of 20-30% is required upon signing the agreement
- Progress payments are due at specified project milestones
- Final payment is due upon project completion and client satisfaction confirmation
- Payment plans may be available for qualifying projects
Late payments may incur a fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.
6. Warranty
Interior Spruce provides:
- 10-year structural warranty covering load-bearing elements, foundation work, and structural modifications
- 5-year finish warranty covering paint, fixtures, flooring installation, and cosmetic elements
- Manufacturer warranties on all materials and appliances, which we help facilitate
Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, negligence, natural disasters, or unauthorized modifications. Warranty claims must be reported in writing within 30 days of discovering the issue.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation policies vary by project type and stage:
- Before work begins: Full deposit refund minus a 5% administrative fee
- During early stages: Partial refund based on work completed and materials ordered
- After substantial completion: No refund; remaining balance is still due
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Custom-ordered materials are non-refundable once ordered.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the property and project requirements
- Ensure timely access to the property as scheduled
- Remove personal belongings from work areas before project start
- Make timely payments according to the agreed schedule
- Communicate any concerns or changes promptly
- Not make unauthorized modifications during the project
9. Permits and Compliance
Interior Spruce handles all necessary permits and ensures compliance with local building codes. However, the client is responsible for:
- Ensuring the property is zoned for the intended work
- Paying any applicable permit fees (included in project cost unless otherwise stated)
- Addressing any pre-existing code violations discovered during the project
10. Limitation of Liability
Interior Spruce' total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project in question. We are not liable for:
- Consequential, incidental, or indirect damages
- Delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control
- Issues arising from client-provided materials or specifications
- Damage to personal property left in work areas despite our advisement
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the Interior Spruce website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Interior Spruce or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
12. Third-Party Links

13. Indemnification
